NoVA Parks and Facilities During COVID19: What’s Open Right Now?

Northern Virginia parks and public facilities continue to slowly reopen and with that comes questions and visits looking a little different than we’re used to. Many waterparks and pools for example are closed for the remainder of 2020, but some lakes and larger county-run pools are open on a limited basis when residents make reservations. Farmers markets are another example of events governed by the state; they are mainly operating but it’s best to check your county list before heading out to support your local favorites.

No matter which phase we are in, masks need to be used and social distancing should be observed as much as possible. Handwashing is also good practice all the time, not just during a pandemic!

These links are continually updated which your local parks and recreation covid19 response. Check your local page for updates:

Enjoy the outdoors! But check your local openings before heading out!
